Five mourning wailers

It is said that “Wiling Grave”, the story about “five sons cried at a grave ”in Chinese, is an opera in the earliest Taiwan.

The ancient story is about a rich man, who had five sons, decided to remarry and expected to take good care of his five sons after his wife died.

The fact is against his will.  The step mother didn’t treat his sons well.  She abused the five kids.  The five children often went to weep at their mother’s grave after their father passed away.

When they grew up, one by one, the five children won their champion after their hard study.

When coming home gloriously, they did not take a revenge on their step mother.  They treated her will just like their own birth mother. The step mother felt so shame about what she had done before, and be a loving mother from then on.
