Infernal Generals’ Parade is a parade full of religionary color.  The deities worshipped in Taiwan are broadly divided into two catagories: one is the major deities, who are in responsible of people’s lives, for example, Shen Nung specifically deal with agricultural crops, he was
 also the Father of Chinese medicine; and the other is the deities, who are in responsible of driving out or judge the evil spirits, such as Cheng Huang, the City God, the God of Justice, is the final judge of each soul and decide that whether he or she is going to the hell. When the God of Justice makes the judge, he will need general troops to carry out the duty after the judge. The general troops are called the infernal generals.   

       The Infernal Generals’ Parade is an array full of religious overtones folk Din Tao.  The Generals hold different tokens or weapons, and they have different responsibilities. People think that they help arrest ghosts, eliminate disasters, improve the security and peace of the community.  From the modern psychology point of view, the parade has a positive behavior enhancement and decrease the negative behavior.  In other words, it promotes good social enlightenment.
