Chariot and Drum Parade
 

 

       The Chariot and Drum Parade is one of the oldest folk arts in Taiwan.  Mostly, it is performed at a temple fair.  The chariot also means “turn”, “funny”and “dance” in Chinese.  Therefore, it’s a funny joyful folk performance with dancing.

       Chariot Drum is a performances with a lead female, holding a folding fan and scarf costume dancing in front of a clown. Making full use of body language and exaggerative funny actions is the amusement.
